For educational institutions

The introduction of technologies in Healthcare requires expertise at the intersection of various disciplines. On the one side, the healthcare professional of the future needs to be able to use healthcare related technologies and keep pace with new technological innovations.  On the other side, the ICT professional needs to be able to engage in and to tune to the world of the healthcare professionals and of the patients.

Collaboration

HTC stimulates and facilitates educational programs from various disciplines to work together. For example, students from different courses are involved in the design of an eHealth application. The students from the Master Advanced Health Informatics Practice (AHIP) are responsible for the conceptual design and requirements of the eHealth application. The functional requirements are used by the informatics students to program a workable version (a prototype) of the application.
IHTC can support educational courses with the development of tailored modules at the cross-over of Health and Technology.
